Our ethos is to serve food that is fresh, simple and local.

Here at The Mote we are very aware of issues such as “food miles” and sustainability of fish stocks.  We are pleased to announce, we have some exciting new suppliers on board, bringing together some of Cornwall's finest produce

Firstly Plough to Plate who operate as a distribution network for small artisan businesses, enabling us to source from south Cornwall, as well as cutting the number of vans on the road.  Our meat is supplied by Phillip Warren, Launceston, an old fashioned traditional butcher of repute.  Our bread comes from Chough Bakery, who have recently set up in the heart of Padstow harbour.   The Honey cured Cornish Coppa ham comes from Deli Farm Charcuterie, Deli in Delabole 01840 214106 is available to buy at www.delifarmcharcuterie.co.uk

All of our fish comes from John Collins at Dennis Knights Fish Merchant, from the fish cellars just across the road - 01208 880498.  Our Port Isaac crab comes from Just Shellfish, 01208 880449 again from the fish cellars.  Our Port Isaac lobsters and other line caught fish come straight off the local boats in the harbour and into the kitchen.

Why not visit the fish cellars and buy some fish to take home with you!

We hope you enjoy our hospitality and the fruits of labour from ourselves and all of the above suppliers.
